Certified Training Courses

The Foundation training is the formal starting point for learning to become a Certified Practitioner in Clinical Hypnosis.

After this training, you can move on to the Advanced Techniques in Hypnosis Diploma training, and develop your ability and knowledge for dealing with a wide range of problems, drawing on different approaches.

We teach elements of NLP and cognitive behavioural approaches, so that you can appreciate the nature of how change works and how to integrate it into all that you do, from first contact to after-care  This is the Cognitive and Awake Hypnosis certified training, which you can study at any time.

On successfully completing all three courses you will be certified at Practitioner Level in Clinical Hypnosis by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), their highest qualification, and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). The CNHC was set up in 2008 with Department of Health funding, which admitted Hypnotherapy into its regulatory system on 1st December 2010.

Enrol in Hypnosis Certified Practitioner in Hypnosis Foundation Training

This is the easiest way to get underway right now with your training. No need to wait for a course date that may clash with your other plans. You get access immediately to private on-line training lessons, which include slides, audio commentary, reading, exercises, video demonstrations, and live class-training recordings. Lessons, or Study Units, are the equivalent of about 90 minutes study, and you submit responses and get personalised feedback from your trainer, Richard Walker.

Your progress is also assessed and guided with face to face coaching at separate live training days, plus an evaluation day where you also get to work with volunteers from the public; your first taste of working with clients! There is a final reflective essay assignment and certification is conditional on satisfactory performance, all included in the investment of £897*. <Enrol here>

This option is consistent with progressing to meet the nationally recognised requirements for certification at Practitioner Level by the GHSC and the CNHC. (*Supervsion to be paid separately, but at a specially discounted rate of £35.)

Summary of Training

Hypnosis is a powerful tool to enhance performance, enable behavioural change and resolve emotional and physical problems. You will discover how to hypnotise and resolve problems using hypnosis – which is what we mean by hypnotherapy. In particular you will discover:

• the power of the unconscious mind
• how to induce and deepen hypnosis
• therapeutic techniques, and kinds of suggestion
• how to manage and terminate hypnotic trance safely and ethically

The material is delivered within a clear ethical and ecological framework. Certificates are issued with accreditation by the GHSC, subject to successful demonstration of performance, full attendance, of the course and supplementary supervision, and completion of an open-book assessments.
